Markerra app terms
These terms describe the basic rules for using the Markerra app and the demo campaign. A commercial client campaign may have separate rules covering the reward, duration, area, and participation conditions.
Nature of the service
Markerra is an app for promotional campaigns in which a participant collects physical QR/NFC points, builds progress, and, after meeting the conditions, may unlock a code, link, or reward instruction.
Operator and roles
The app operator is Przemysław Wiśniewski Digital, NIP: 5243019522, REGON: 529876286, ul. Turmoncka 22/1103, 03-254 Warsaw, Poland. Contact: wisniewski.prz@gmail.com.
Markerra provides the technology, app configuration, marker mechanics, and aggregated report. The campaign client is responsible for lawful marker placement, permissions, installation, removal, the rules of the specific campaign, and reward fulfillment.
User account
- Saving progress requires login through a supported provider, such as Google or Apple.
- One user account may have one progress state in a given campaign.
- If the campaign includes a reward code, it is assigned to the user account after the conditions are met.
Collecting QR/NFC points
- A marker may work through QR, NFC, or both channels at the same time.
- The same marker does not increase progress twice for the same account.
- The app may reject a marker if it is not part of the campaign, has already been collected, is outside the campaign area, or the phone location is not accurate enough.
- Sharing a QR photo or NFC tag content does not guarantee point collection if the campaign requires physical presence.
Location and geofence
Some campaigns use geofencing, meaning the app checks whether the scan takes place in a defined area. The app uses location at scan time or while the map is used. It does not track users in the background.
Participant safety
Participants should stay careful, avoid restricted areas, never scan markers while driving, and follow the rules of the place where the campaign is taking place.
Rewards without a lottery
- The Markerra mechanic is deterministic: completing the set unlocks a code, link, or instruction if the campaign rules provide for it.
- Markerra does not randomly draw winners in the current MVP model.
- Reward details, redemption period, limits, number of rewards, and exclusions should be described in the rules of the specific campaign.
Data and reports for the client
The campaign client receives an aggregated report. The client does not receive emails, user IDs, raw location, raw Appwrite exports, reward codes assigned to individuals, or individual participant paths. The client must not attempt to reidentify participants from the report.
Route reset
The app may allow a route reset. A reset removes progress in the given campaign for the user account, but it is not account deletion. The effect of a reset on a reward should be defined in the rules of the specific campaign.
Account deletion and privacy
Data processing rules are described in the Privacy Policy. The account can be deleted in the app. Instructions are available on the Delete account page.
Changes to these terms
This is the MVP version. Before the first paid campaign, the rules of the specific campaign should be reviewed and adjusted to the client, reward, locations, dates, and app distribution channel.
